GARUGLIERI architetti

In a quiet area of Lido di Camaiore, where summer evenings once lit up under the clear skies of an open-air cinema, where greenery dominates the avenues and the architecture retains the discreet elegance of tradition, a semi-detached house designed to embrace the light and landscape takes shape.
The project is designed for two families, with generous and harmonious spaces distributed across three levels: a basement dedicated to utility areas, a ground floor slightly raised above the garden, directly connected to each unit's private pool, and a first floor reserved for the sleeping quarters. All spaces are designed to foster outdoor living, a visual connection with nature, and the tranquility of everyday life.

The architecture is born from a dialogue with the site: the warm colors of the sand, the dull greens of the pine trees, the ever-changing hues of the Apuan Alps on the horizon. The materials chosen, light plaster, sea-green window frames, natural wood, and typical plants like the olive tree, express the Mediterranean identity of the setting, reinterpreting it in a sober and contemporary way.
Every detail is designed to delicately blend into the landscape: the morning light caresses the facades, shadows are cast on the stone and wood, the house breathes with its surroundings without imposing itself, instead seeking a subtle dialogue between architecture and nature.
This project aims to create a form of living that is both intimate and open, concrete yet poetic: a project that does not simply construct a space, but seeks to suggest a lifestyle made of slow-moving seasons, silences, and horizons both close and profound.
